Mike Roth is releasing his first solo 4-song album entitled Slow Down. Mike is a native Pittsburgher who recently returned this past year after 9 years in a nationally touring band based in Chicago. His band toured extensively throughout the U.S. opening for artists such as Josh Ritter, State Radio, Pete Francis of Dispatch, and the Clarks. Mike has also toured internationally as well and recently filmed his most recent music video for his single “Slow Down” in Haifa, Israel. Mike is excited to start his career as a solo artist in Pittsburgh as well as a PhD program in Engineering and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon. Music as well as environmental and climate change policy have always been his passion over the past 12 years and Mike is excited to be working on both in his hometown. Mike’s music finds roots in rock, pop, and folk, and his unique voice has been described as a cross between the Decembrists Colin Meloy and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine. Mike’s research finds roots in nuclear power plant policy, electric vehicles, wind power, and climate change policy. Music videos and more on his website and youtube.
