简介
BOB STARK, a singer-songwriter from Vancouver, BC, has played benefits, festivals, and folk venues from The Foc'sle Tavern, Chester, NS to the National Arts Centre. "Bob Stark may be one of Canada's best kept singer-songwriter secrets. In the tradition of Jesse Winchester or Leonard Cohen, his songs of love and life paint a gentle picture of adult life in today's world. Doug Cox, Vancouver Island Music Festival Bob has just released his latest CD - 'Storefront Photograph’ "This collection of songs was inspired by many friends whom have long wanted me to do a bare-bones, solo album. I have tried to make this as much as a live experience as possible, using mainly acoustic guitars and voices. Words and wood." Previous releases include: 'Modern Day Romeo (December 2012); Life On A Postcard (2006); Love Songs for Bureaucrats (2000); One Candle Burning (1994); Levels of Survival (1991); and Beyond the Stars (1988) Bob's music has been called 'Folk Pop'; his songs have been favourably compared to those of Bob Dylan, Jackson Browne, Gordon Lightfoot, Leonard Cohen and others. Bob teaches songwriting through the Moveable Music School (Vancouver, BC) and The Georgia Straight Guitar Workshop (Crescent Beach, BC)
