MEDICAL HISTORY The Nu metal formation has been called to life by Plenk, the singer-songwriter in January 2014, with quite extraordinary musicians. And the musical style of the band can’t be described as average neither, although the genres themselves are well-known, but Pennhurst managed to merge them together in a unique way. There is the aggression of Nu metal with tuned down guitars and various effects, with scream insertions, with clean and catchy choruses, and they make a great stress on the rap singing style, as well as elements of the electronic music – especially dubstep – emblazon the songs. Plenk chose the name of the band due to the insanity boiling up during rehearsals and by the most charachteristic and sickest behavioral elements of the members, saying he felt like he’s in an asylum. The musicians are named according to these characteristics: Maniac, Panicky, Paranoid and Addicted. And during concerts the members are wearing straitjacket-like clothes and shrouds – masks made of gauze. After many treatments and tranquilizers, the band was able to put together their first two songs entitled Cage For You and Lie To Me. As a result, the organizers of HammerWorld gave an opportunity for the realization of the first Pennhurst concert in summer of 2014, which occured during the Rockmaraton Festival. The band’s first EP – Losing Control , which contains six songs -, was released at the end of 2015 with which they aimed for international success.
