CYEON is a breath of fresh air to the music industry. She brings a unique sound that is light to the soul and leaves you wanting more. This talented young lady is not only an amazing vocalist, but also a producer, songwriter and an incredible musician who plays drums, the acoustic guitar and keyboards. The musical life started for her at the age of seven where she grew up in the church singing and playing drums on a small island of The Bahamas called Nassau. During her early teenage years she favored the sound and creativity of Michael and Janet Jackson where she developed her own unique and interesting sound of Pop mixed with some Acoustic Rock. Cyeon always had an open mind, she wrote songs of passion and words that not only carried a sweet sounding melody but also left her listeners wanting more. Every opportunity she got to write a song, she wrote; whether it is at church, at work, at home or wherever she found her self drifting about her personal experiences and the experiences she had with others creatively. After writing for a while and singing, she was determined to record and make her sound come to life in a real recording studio; this took every bit of her interest in music too the next level of what she would hope too be in the future. Walking into a studio for the first time she was relaxed and confident because she knew what she came to do and the sound she wanted to hear. With absolutely no experience what so ever behind the controls in the studio, the gifted and confident young Bahamian female producer composed all of her music by herself. Professional producers were amazed and astonished to see a young girl so involved and developed in such a technical thing. At the Age of 14 Cyeon entered the Talent Jam Contest held in Nassau Bahamas at the Diplomat Center also known as Bahamas Faith Ministries, where she entered the instrumental category and the singing category placing 1st in the instrumental category and 3rd in the singing. Though Cyeon did her best that night too win the judges heart of placing first in the singing category, she knew that it was only just the start of getting better and being on top, she felt no way discourage however she kept her composure and kept on believing in herself. At the age of 16, Cyeon decided too stepped up a notch, recording more singles and releasing them on local radio stations in Nassau Bahamas. She performed a few places locally such as primary schools, churches in the community, hotels, etc. At 18 Cyeon invested all her savings in building her own home recording studio. She started working on all of her own projects fully; where she produced all of her music wrote and sang all of her songs and did final mixes to them all. Cyeon’ determination was incredibly huge, from that point on she had no reason left to ever have to depend on anyone too record her and pay so much for studio time. During this time until the age of 21 Cyeon was famously known for jingles she did for local businesses in Nassau, if she didn’t created the instrumentation for that jingle she sure wrote it an sang it. Some of her jingle projects included, advertisements for Solomon’s Mines a local jewelry store, the Shoe Village, Fun Foods, Subway and many more. Cyeon exposed most of her talents traditionally to food festivals, concerts, The Hub, and even some events abroad in Miami, Jacksonville and Freeport Bahamas where she gave the audience a taste of something new, something fresh and something different. The musical life has basically just started for Cyeon, she is more than ready to take her music too the world to announce her self as the first Bahamian female producer, singer and songwriter. Cyeon always believed in herself and in the art of her music knowing that one day it will go far touching the hearts and souls of millions across the globe. Currently at the age of 22 she is now searching for that opportunity waiting for the dream of her music to be discovered.
