DJ Ron Muschette from Jamaica's #1 Irie fm introduces ''Sunshine Beautiful'' on his show as the anthem of Negril! It is truly a sunny happy fun song. From Chat Magazine,Kingston Jamaica ; written by Ralston Barrett Reggae music and it’s off-shoot genre dancehall music are truly universal forces attracting people from all walks of life, colors, races, creeds and nationalities. Two years ago American visual artist, singer and song writer Justin Love knew little or nothing about Jamaica or it’s music. However one night while vacationing and painting in Costa Rica he went to a night club where he heard several reggae and dancehall songs and from that point he has been hooked on Jamaican popular music. So much so that after returning to New York he decided that he would visit Jamaica before going back to Costa Rica. This decision resulted in him visiting the beautiful tourist resort town of Negril where he recorded his first reggae song A Place Called Home at Jah Freedom Recording studio, this song featured 1980’s dancehall hit maker Frankie Paul on keyboards. Justin Love had come to Negril for a one week visit but ended up spending six week instead. During the six weeks he spent in Negril he recorded several songs that would form his first reggae album Love Vibrations. Since then he has been traveling on regular to Negril very often to record his music. He has also released a second album Sunshine Beautiful which was recorded at Lazeme recording studio on the west end of Negril. Both albums are available on Itunes and CD Baby.com. Most of Justin Love’s recordings are collaborations with local based artist from the area such as former popular song contest winner Chetenge, Mona Lisa (2008 Magnum King & Queens of Dancehall finalist), Iyakasha, Swallow, Mr. Peck & Ras Noble. As it is his intention to work with talented artists from the area and help to bring them some exposure. One such recording is his current single Sunshine Beautiful which features Ras Noble & Swallow. This song is currently receiving good rotation on radio stations island-wide. There are also plans in the pipeline for a supporting music video for Sunshine Beautiful to be shot on location in Negril. Before coming to Jamaica Justin Love spent many years playing rock music in New York with bands such as Justin Trouble, Justin Love and Loveland. He still plays with Love Land and is scheduled to return to New York soon for several dates with the band in the Big Apple. Justinlove is also a very talented painter and has travelled all over the US and other countries such as England, France, Japan, Costa Rica and Jamaica painting and showcasing his work.
