Jan Harmon, Sampler - Suites and Other Confections. Most songs, live at the Camden Folk Club, on April 11, 1988. 1) Kith 'n Kin - For A. and S. 2) Marz Barz - A word-play song. 3) In Case of Nuclear Attack - For Charlie Brown, who mumbled something like ".. it says here, in case of nuclear attack, my car insurance is null and void .." Now, THAT's Funny! 4) Designer Genes - For Watson and Crick 5) Ground Round (or Suite Styrofoam) - For McDonalds. Wholeheartedly sung by Nancy Mattila, Michael Cooney, and me [Jan]. [NOTE: This song was written back in the 80s when most food at McDonalds came wrapped in styrofoam. They seem to have cleaned their act considerably. Perhaps this song helped with that!] 6) Suite Spring - A round. Embellished and then chorusized by the Quasimodal Choir. This one goes on a bit, so do sing along! These last two were done in studio with Bruce: 7) The Eagle - With the Quasimodal Choir. Yet another chorus arrangement of a round. This song is for the eagles of Death Valley, California, who taught me [Jan] to wait. 8) Good Wish - These words are from an old Gaelic prayer. They are for you. And me [Jan]. With much Love and many thanks .. - to the Quasimodal Choir & Chowder Society: Chris Statler, Bob Stuart, Carol Rohl, Loell Rogers, Joni Osier, Greg Marley, Nancy Mattila, Michael Margolis, Reenie Gilbert, Anne Dodson, David Dodson, Will Brown, Mary Bok, Gordin Bok, - to Michael Cooney (Welcome to Maine, neighbor!), - to Bruce Boege .. who engineered this live at the Camden Folk Club, on April 11, 1988, - to the folks at the Camden Folk Club for allowing us to record this concert, - and to all the folks who came and sang! ----------------- Cover art was created based on Jan's original artwork for the Sampler cassette she produced in 1988.
