This is Stories In Trance, and we proudly present to you our twelfth release, so here we go with DJ Faisi and his debut original track You & Me. We at Stories In Trance are proud to showcase a diverse range of sounds within trance, and our philosophy of working with both established artists and giving newcomers a chance to present their material to a global audience is paying off so far, and in DJ Faisi we think we have uncovered a pure talent. Faisal Maqbool hails from Pakistan, and following on the heels of his fellow countryman Shaun Ansari perfectly demonstrates that trance is a global sound. After DJ Faisi's superb debut on Stories In Trance with his stunning remix of Max Fishler's Evia, this time out he delivers a more mellow, beautiful track with subtle interchanging layers, and an infectious lead melody, expertly woven together to create a real summer epic. To complete the package, and give range to the release, his original is perfectly complimented by three different yet imaginative takes on the strong melody of the original. First we have Stories In Trance regular Max Fishler with his interpretation, and as usual Max does not disappoint, stamping his own unique style on the original leaving us with a stripped down, tech-trance version that really focuses on bringing out the strength in the lead melody contrasted against the tough bassline. Another quality piece from the highly regarded Russian. The second remix is from another Russian, Paul Olive, who in similar vein to his previous work for us, his remix of Max Fishler's The Skyshard, takes us down a more subtle, dark progressive route with his version, with tight production allowing the emphasis to be on the flowing, swirling mids to create an atmospheric take on things. And third comes the White Motion remix, from impressive Lithuanian new-comer Rytis Gedvilas. The balance to the whole package is restored with this energetic version, showing his ability and imagination to re-interpret the core elements of the original to produce an excellent uplifting trance remix. The release sticks firmly to our philosophy of not only showcasing a diverse range of sounds within trance, but also offering balanced releases by seeking out those that can interpret the original in a different way. The aim of our label is to uncover the most talented and imaginative new producers and team up with some of the more established names in the scene to work together in evolving the sound.
