The mysterious Desta Cullen puts his own twist on the evolution of the Skeleton sound, with the title track boasting sonar-esque stabs and a stomping kick drum. Haunting synths play the major part here, while the sparse arrangement lets each element shine and fall into place in the rocksteady groove. On Shenandoah things get a bit busier in the rhythm section and rubber-band bass adds to the constantly mutating vibe. Garbled electronic melodies are at the helm and they, in turn, evolve over the duration of the spooky affair.
