"Pieces", a mature yet refreshing debut EP from newly emerging singer songwriter, Rich Barker. The opening track, "Down Now" is beautifully relaxing, allowing the listener to reflect on their own satisfactions in life. In contrast, "Back Home" would most likely be the perfect finale to a set as the audience can quickly pick up and join in on the enchanting chorus. "Don't Let It Begin" combines a flowing medley of words with a mix of acoustic and electric guitars as well as soft percussion. The next contrasting track, "Pieces" is a satirical look at Rich's life so far yet maturely links this with a great climax to give it a serious, enjoyable edge. The final track, "You" is the perfect relaxing climax to a great mix of songs, that can be repeatedly listened to because of their diverse sounds. "Pieces" is an exciting start that looks to be a great future for Rich Barker.
