简介
After 7 years of singing on other people's albums, Léah Kline emerges with her 2nd album of originals. ( First being "Juzz Flirtin") Here we feel a much quieter version of Kline, confident, lower tones. She draws the listener in and creates a very intimate, listenable album of lyrics, stories and music. The result is a New Cool Jazz feel on a bed of grooves that tastes of soul, blues and jazz from the 70's music scene. Cord Heineking (bass) has arranged and composed most of the songs on the album. The basic rhythm section is bass, drums, keyboard, rhodes or piano. Percussion, guitar and vocal harmonies are used to color in. The multi-layering in each track lends itself well to high quality headphones listening. Breaking with the jazz tradition of instrumental solos, this album keeps itself tastefully painting a soundscape around the lyrics, using space and quietness to deliver the mood. "This Precious Life" appears to be an ode to the fragility , beauty and humor of our modern life, according to Kline Track number 5, "New Technology Blues" ,is the radio single as released in January 2015, Those purchasing the Physical CD get, as a bonus track , "New Technology Blues- extended version" which contains 1 minute spoken interlude which shows off Léah's sense of playfulness and humor. This has led her to create a Concert Series in Holland, where she currently lives, of lay down, listening concerts. Savasana= corpse pose ---------------------------------------------------- This Precious Life - LIVE ------------------------------------------------ It has long been known that music is therapeutic. As a professional singer and passionate yogi, Amsterdam-based American Léah Kline has finallycombined the two worlds of Music and Yoga. With a low, whispering voice, Léah creates a unique atmosphere which invites its audience to really listen. Through the dynamic use of voice interspersed with silences and with text straight from her heart, she creates an extraordinary effect and, to preserve it, the audience is asked not to applaud until the end. Léah sings about letting go, about dealing with disappointment, but also playfully touching on modern themes. Savasana is also the art of letting go and the musical ingredients of a Savasana concert include her own accessible compositions, featuring Jazz, Blues, Groove, dreamy ballads, sung harmonies and free improvisation with spoken text. From this palette, Léah Kline creates a unique and unforgettable atmosphere. Short Biography: Léah Kline is an American singer with a varied career behind her.
