Our next release at One4SevenOne Records comes from young, Adelaide-based producer, Matais. Matais has barely reached the legal clubbing age yet but his Control EP sounds like that of a seasoned clubber; laden with a pounding bass and dark funky rhythms that will engross you from beginning to end. Control starts us off as a glitchy number. With a bouncy kick that develops into a driving bass line, this track gives an insight into Matais technological deft. The next two tracks Tester and Steel, are inspired by the heavier sounds of artists such as Dubfire. The techno belter Tester, has already received the tick of approval from Joran Van Pol a signee of Dubfires SCI+TEC and Richie Hawtins Minus label. Matais is one of the most promising producers that Adelaide has to offer, and at such a young age, this is clearing only the beginning of his bright future.
