Take losing a relationship or a career, finding the love of your life or discovering blues bands everywhere in the world and then add in a few dashes of old school psychedelia, some straight up, some bent to new purposes, and this band will give you the theme music to your emotions. Formed of some unusual friendships that cut across generations, the name of the band is indicator that both the old and the new live in their songs. Produced in a very intimate recording style, this band wants to bring you inside the songs and the feelings that generated them - no high wall of massive production separates you from how it feels to see them live. Lyrics are a little mystical at times ("Deep Roots" and "Delta Stone") but have some immediate identification. Sometimes its just to rock and boogie, sometimes a big message: like Tuesday vs.Saturday Night.

The band is from the Heartland. Music here is supposed to make you feel good - even blues is susceptible to the inside joke, but The New and Slightly Used "get it" and keep it heated up.
