iamforest is the electronic project of multi-instrumentalist, singer songwriter, and audio engineer, Luke Forest Hartle. Hailing from Vancouver, Canada, Luke has travelled the world creating music in a range of styles. Picking up the guitar at a young age, as is the well worn path for most budding musicians, Luke has since progressed into the world of electronic production. The goal of the iamforest project is to bridge the gap between the inhuman perfection that electronic music allows, and the human imperfections that come with analogue instrumentation. The result is a warm, lofi, beat driven style that floats in and out of existing genres, creating the signature sound that is iamforest. With a multitude of coverage from big names for the Bridges EP including Earmilk, LA's KCRW, Exclaim!, Birp.fm, The Georgia Straight, and Acid Stage to name a few, iamforest went on to land the opening spot for the critically acclaimed artist BANKS to a sold out Vogue Theater in Vancouver, Canada. Shortly after iamforest was asked to share the stage with the Ghostly International artist KLLO for their Canadian debut. Making big moves in the local Vancouver scene iamforest is set the release the full Snowhands EP in the Fall of 2018.
