OCDC band members Eli Smart (lead guitar & vocals), Noah Tjarks (guitar & vocals), Ian Cowden (bass & vocals) and Tapu Laughlin (drums & vocals) recorded "What she knows", their first original tune, at Steelgrass Studios with Will Lydgate as producer. These young talented players find musical inspiration from the raw sounds of bands such as Jack White and the Raconteurs, Modest Mouse, The Strokes, The Kooks, The Police, and from the experience of growing up in the ocean.
