简介

What You Need Tonight (Feat. Nadia) is a groundbreaking Bengali dubstep single performed and composed by the American-Bangladeshi artist Nagib Hawk and written by the prominent songwriter Susmita Biswas Sathi. Released under the Jadughor/Redd Maze flag on March 31st, 2014 and featuring Nadia, the song hits on a battle between self-destructive desires and self-control, symbolized by the colors red and green. From shapeless shadows to the fragility of a rose made with playing cards, the power and depth of this song takes you inside a trapped character who’s constantly lured in by his own desires and cries out for his transformation. Nagib Hawk is an international artist, producer, composer, singer, and songwriter in the genres of Pop, Hip-Hop, Rock, Film/Cinema, and Electronica. Born in Bangladesh, music has been a part of Hawk’s life and culture since an early age. To create his signature sound, Hawk intertwines his cultural background with contemporary sounds, introducing a unique element of diversity in his music. Fusing instrumental measures with radical cultural beats, he composes in a way that connect with his audience but at the same time add an element of mystique and grandeur. "Music fans who are globally connected to one another have grown more appreciative and aware of what’s popular in other countries and various genres. Each day we hear songs on the radio that feature the Tabla or the Chinese Er-hu. This is merely the beginning for the Jadughor team. We will keep pushing the envelope even further…” Susmita Biswas Sathi is a renowned songwriter and lyricist in Bangladesh. She gained her fame at an early age of fifteen with major artist Habib Wahid in his debut album Shono. From writing award-winning songs to abstract motion painting to publishing anthology of poems to studying parametric architecture, Susmita exemplifies a true creative genius. Her writing has taken a turn to film industry in 2012 with the film Chorabali and eventually to screenwriting. "Music is the one language we use to go within everything, what we can express and what we cannot. Our aim is to express the All -- the odd and the even, the no and the yes. In the journey of Jadughor, we want to expose internationally a world class music arising from Bangladesh. We not only dare to dream but also make those dreams a reality..."
