Music by Vince Tampio (c) 2013 Produced by Vince Tampio Mastered by Bob Iacono Art & Design by Vince Tampio Photography by Billy Harvey Vince Tampio self releases SYZYGY REMIX, a collection of music based on his previous album SYZYGY. Utilizing stems from SYZYGY (released January 14, 2014), Vince called upon Philadelphia and New York artists to remix a track of their choice for SYZYGY REMIX. The resulting album features a range of instrumental musical styles including dub reggae, ambient, trance, avant garde, and funk. The eleven tracks featured on SYZYGY REMIX were composed by rearranging instrumental performances originally recorded for SYZYGY. Vince played the majority of those instrumental performances. “Not only have I seen this guy play virtuosic trumpet, but also bass, keyboards, vocals, and guitar, and in a variety of styles.” – Joe Lekkas (Palm Ghosts). When placed in the hands of the remixers, each track donned a new identity. Some of the resulting remixes are quite different from the originals. In addition to composing, performing and recording for SYZYGY REMIX, Vince served as Executive Producer, created the album art/design, and even remixed a track himself. “I have had the distinct pleasure of working with Vince Tampio on stage and in the studio. Vince has superb instincts and musicality that far exceeds his years. Vince is a very strong player and arranger and I have been lucky to work with such a trusted and professional musician.” – John “Heyward” Howkins (Heyward Howkins). Vince Tampio is a trumpeter, multi-instrumentalist, and composer/arranger in the Philadelphia and New York regions. He regularly performs and records with Indie rock bands including Palm Ghosts and Heyward Howkins. Also, he is a member of Soul cover band: The York Street Hustle, for which he plays trumpet and arranges horns. Vince has appeared on multiple albums over the past few years including his self produced debut solo album SYZYGY. He performs, composes, and records original music. “Vince Tampio proves himself a very creative composer. I look forward to hearing more from this upcoming composer & instrumentalist.” – Fred “Rock Steady Freddie” Reiter (New York Ska Jazz Ensemble).
