Born and raised in the Central District of Seattle, rapper Arron “PaineBoy” Murphy grew up influenced by all types of music. On May 17, 1983 his mom went into labor watching Michael Jackson first moonwalk on Motown 25. When he was in kindergarten he met Miles Davis and the legendary trumpet player told him he was special. In 1993, the young rapper earned a musical spot at Seattle’s iconic Bumpershoot Festival. The love of rap music continued into high school where he honed his skills in a number of local performances and mixtapes. Fast forward a few years, with countless hours in the studio and being featured on many other’s songs Paineboy is still evolving. Never relying too heavily on one particular style, PaineBoy flows effortlessly over smooth R&B influenced beats to hard-hitting freestyles that leaves the listener thinking while still bobbing his head. Paineboy’s music gives you a sense of maturity but still keeps a fresh grip on what’s going on in today's culture. His goal is to change the musical opinion of Seattle hip hop and rap with slick punchlines an unmatched energy. In a time when many have grown weary of where rap music is going, the motto has always been "PaineBoy is the solution", constantly aiming to give people a look at what's ahead.
