To encapsulate Palermo Stone is to try to categorize something that is ever-changing and evolving. He is a man with a vision and drive matched only by the depth and hunger heard in his lyrics. Creator and leader of the R.A.R.E. movement (Revitalizing Art, Reinventing Emotion), Palermo has established successful musical relationships with Mac Miller, Dee-1, The Come Up and other hip hop focal points. Beyond the music, Palermo leads an art movement focusing on merging hip hop and art and inspiring those influenced to better themselves and the world around them. Palermo Stone has four solo studio albums (R.A.R.E. [Deluxe] - 2013; R.A.R.E. – 2012; For My Culture – 2011; Beautiful Music – 2010) and two collaborative mixtapes (Hey Young World - 2012; "Hey Young World 2: The Encore" - 2012) under his belt. November 2010 saw the release of his debut album, "Beautiful Music," led by a fan-favorite single of the same name, to a very positive reception. Palermo then quickly released a collaborative effort, "Hey Young World," only 5 months later, and its sequel on New Year’s Day of 2012. As his fan base grew with each release and subsequent show, so did his exposure to the world of hip hop. In January of 2012, Palermo released his second solo project, "For My Culture," which aimed to capture and depict every facet, both good and bad, of the culture that is hip hop. Receiving critical acclaim nationwide, Palermo began his own movement, R.A.R.E. (Revitalizing Art, Reinventing Emotion), with the idea that something truly genuine is rare these days. R.A.R.E. evolved into an artistic movement, putting the power back in the hands of the artist with the goal of merging hip hop and art in an optimistic light, creating unique opportunities and results for the artists involved and being a positive role model for youth and young adults. Palermo Stone is an extremely diverse artist who prides himself on creating music with a powerful message. His style focuses on bringing the musical and artistic aspect back to hip hop, including using a live band in his performances. His third album, R.A.R.E. [Deluxe], was released in March 2013 and was well-received nationally, resulting in coverage from numerous publications around the country.
