Celtic music plays a huge role in my life with my heritage being heavily Scottish and Irish. I thouroughly enjoy celtic music and that is what the album is composed of. Such celtic classics included in this album are..."The Last Rose of Summer", "The Water Is Wide", "Salley Gardens", "Mo Ghile Mear" the all-time favorite "Danny Boy" and many more. This album also includes some of my own original songs..."Awakened", "The Dark Woods", "The Light", "Celtic Medley", and on the special edition version of the album, "The Farewell". The songs on this album aren't exactly done in a traditional celtic style, but that was never my intention. My intention with these songs or any other songs I do is to put my own twist on them. The overall sound is an orchestral, new-age, folk, celtic sound. Therefore my genre is definitely in the World Music genre. I also have tried to impliment my main instrument, the piano, into this sound as much as possible which gives it that unique instrumental feel. So, come, take a celtic journey with me into my new awakening in life.
