Liff tha Spliff was born Clifton Jordan January 15, 1986 in Vallejo, California to Leroy and Barbara Jordan. Tha Spliff was one of six children-although, he was the only child his parents shared with one another. Tha Spliff moved to Cleveland, Ohio as a toddler on the cities east side on 79th & Superior. Being ten years younger than his closest sibling, Tha Spliff found it hard to connect with peers his age and had a troublesome time during early years in school. Coming from two hard working parents of different backgrounds Tha Spliff received cultural influence from both his mother (who had involvement in the civil rights movement) and father (who was a foundry worker and a hustler for lack of better terms. Clifton (Liff Tha Spliff) met Dennis Bunkley (D. Bunk) at Raintree Academy in 1989 and the two became inseparable. Clifton's (Tha Spliff) mother was diagnosed with breast cancer when he was seven year of age and Dennis (D. Bunk) was instrumental in Clifton's (Tha Spliff) development. His friendship helped the young man cope with the difficulties of depression. At ten Tha Spliff became involved with the gang his brothers belonged to. The pros and cons of the lifestyle followed. By sixteen Tha Spliff was immersed into the gang culture, yet it seemed the culture of hip hop married the culture of the streets long ago, and continued during a young Spliff's upbringing. Siting influencers like Scarface, Snoop Dogg, UGK Jayo Felony, Styles P, and Wu-Tang just to name a few, Tha Spliff's raw delivery and word play wasn't easily looked over after long. D. Bunk who followed his fathers footsteps, aspired to pursue music as well began to create ideas with his comrade. Tha Spliff & Bunk often would cut school and began to use the old equipment Bunk's father gave him to record their freestyles. Quickly the two became locally recognized. By 2010 The duo released "Loud & Clear". The album was a Combination of Raw lyrics over hard production. After several projects together, D. Bunk produced Tha Spliff's self titled EP in 2012 which was a local success . But the untimely death of Tha Spliff's mother in March 2013 sent him into a deep depression. After a break from music, getting married, and the birth of three sons, Tha Spliff and D. Bunk reunite with the help D. Bunks brother (CEO of IMDB Productions) Jarret Powers (Jax) to create the highly anticipated LP "Grotesque".
