Okinoerabu Island is the southern tip of Kagoshima in the Amami Islands, and the northernmost point of Ryukyu culture. PROJECT Erabwalankya started on that small island Shima no Uta was created by Kagoshima rapper Yasutake based on the island's landscape and climate. Beat maker OWLBEATS from Amami Oshima is in charge of the sound. The theme song samples Okinoerabu's most famous folk song, and is an elegy about the farewell to the fate of living on the island.
