Carol Dabney is an author, illustrator singer and composer. Raised on a farm in Arkansas, represented her state as "Miss Arkansas Teen" and won the national talent award giving her her first single in Nashville Tenn beginning her musical career in 1978. She studied Italian Opera at the University of Arkansas at age 16. She married and moved to the Hawaiian Islands for 15 years, where she was an entertainer and disc jockey. She and her husband raised five children. She signed as a singer song writer with Tom Moffatt Paradise Records in Honolulu in 1997, released three albums, spinning a local hit "Secret Place" a contemporary pop song. She moved back to her Arkansas roots in 2000 and released an all original gospel album. She now works as a music teacher at St. Mark's Day School in Little Rock Arkansas. She is an author and illustrator of children's books and travels to read and sing for children at school classrooms and libraries around the country.
