简介
When I watched the rough cut for Mr. Right I fell for it immediately. Jacqui and David Morris had captured the human heart/emotional survival that cross the divide of gay or straight. What they’re saying is that, in the end it doesn’t matter when it’s someone you love. I was touched by the development of the characters and so endeavoured to represent them the best I could with the music. As a composer this film enabled me to explore different areas of my musical background. Instead of writing to a song structure I began to landscape sound. As chance may have it Ginny David and Anna Tanvir dropped by to visit me to say hello and started singing to me some of their new repertoire for a performance they were going to do in France. When I heard their voices together I was spellbound and knew I had to use them in this music. I made them my choir and then gave the score a choral/orchestral twist. “The Rabbit Song” was the track I had in mind for them but found myself playing with their voices more and more so you will hear them throughout the album! I saw the characters of this film as “Cowboy’s in Soho” alone and venturing into the unknown so gave it that Vaughn Williams aspect.
