Dylan McFarling is an independent local singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, looking to take his music to a larger audience. Having performed and recorded for years in multiple artists around central Minnesota, in 2013 Dylan set out on a solo project centering on all-new original music featuring incredible collaborations by other talented local musicians. The EP, "A Work in Progress," was released in may of 2014. Two years later Dylan finally returned to the studio with Drummer, Engineer and Producer Pete James Johnson at his studio, "The Skeleton Room," in their hometown of St. Cloud, Minnesota to complete the first of a series of new EP's, "New Albion Blues." This second EP features Dylan as a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist with Pete Johnson accompanying him on drums alongside a few other cameo parts from local Minnesota musicians. Released in June of 2016, this release showcases a newfound maturity in Dylan's songwriting and playing style. Initially designed to be performed as one continuous piece, the flow of "New Albion Blues" may remind the listener of classic rock albums of the 60's and 70's, meeting those influences with colorful flourishes of americana, classical, jazz, and blues.
