The dark and seductive vocals driven by cerebral rock progressions take you on a journey of a man trying to find light at the end of a seemingly endless tunnel. From heartache and regret to the frustration of the state of the world today, “Black Gold” evokes feelings of pain, euphoria and everything in between. About Iron Bells: Iron Bells formed in late 2011 originally as a platform for singer/songwriter Demi Demaree (VilleBillies) to craft solo material that had been in the making for years. One of these songs, “Bed of Thorns”, was featured in the independent film “Nothing in the Flowers” and Demi was asked to perform at the movie’s premiere. He enlisted long time collaborators and band mates, Tim Bernauer and Ron Ping on drums and bass respectively along with Malcolm McLaughlin on lead guitar and back-up vocals to accompany him in the performance. From this collaboration Iron Bells were born. While the bulk of Iron Bells’ early material consisted of the songs originally written by Demi as a solo endeavor, it soon became evident that the rest of the band had plenty to contribute and the project evolved into a full group effort.
