Vincent Lyn's Heaven Bound is just that .....Heaven Bound. I've known Vincent for many years and have watched his music mature and blossom. But Heaven Bound is in a category all by itself. Every song has a relaxing yet provocative feel. There is a mellowness to "Stolen Moments' that is palatable...you simply cannot resist moving the body or tapping the foot. The single "Heaven Bound" holds a special place in my heart and the sweet voice of Fernanda Capela takes it to a whole new level. I may not speak the language but Vincent's music makes you feel the words. This is not your typical jazz musician...this is much more...this music is truly Heaven Bound...take a listen and see for yourself. Jackie Pratt - Producer - CBS-Paramount Vincent Lyn is unique, even in a world of Rennaissance men. Following in his parents' footsteps - his mother and English musical prodigy, his father descended from renowned kung-fu masters - Vincent became both a world champion martial artist and Hong Kong movie star, as well as a dedicated, award-winning, Royal College of Music - educated composer and performer of pop, jazz and classical works. Now on his new album, Heaven Bound he has blended his infuences into a cool jazz melange, flavored with both classical and Brazilian bossa nova rhythmns, for something soothing and stirring...comfortably familiar yet excitingly new, too. As his new music weaves its magic, it's hard not to both nod one's head in appreciation as well as tap one's feet to the enjoyable beat. You could say that Heaven Bound is heaven sent or even heavenly...but that'd be too obvious, wouldn't it? Ric Meyers - Author & Screenwriter The standard "Stolen Moments" by Oliver Nelson is a great choice to open your record. I like your arrangement approach here; the piece works well in a contemporary vein. Your piano solo is excellent. I'm quite impressed by the fluidity of your phrasing and the way your licks dance around the groove. The guitar solo also sounds great. This arrangement features a great feel; first rate work by bass and drums. To my ears, the track shows off your musicianship well and could appeal for some jazz playlists. This is a well crafted standard. Taxi - The World's leading independent A & R company
