简介

Dj kamikaze a.k.a Jerry Wade first started writing rhymes at age 16. A friend of his name Jack Conway got me into it in 1986. In 1988, they put together a group called Posse-N-Effect. It was Jack flowing, Terry Black on the turntables, Mandel and Perry were dancers. Jerry was the hype man. They did their first show in 1989 at Miller park. People vibe with them and received much props. After that show, everybody’s ego got in the way and they went their separate ways. During that time, he got his first mixer by trading a shirt for it. In 1990, he was doing production on a small scale. He had two old turntables and two tape decks making tracks. He was in the Hilltop Projects at the Augustfest is where he met his homeboy Rick (Rick Raw) and the coldest MC that he ever heard. His name was David Smith (Dizzy D). They formed a group called One Funky Nation. When they did shows, people would just be amazed because Dizzy would bust and Kamikaze would be cutting and scratching on some old turntables. They did all there shows live, no tapes. The group broke up in 1992 because of indifference in creativity and management. In 1993, he and his brother Perry (Pure-X) put out their first tape called "Pure X and Dj Kamikaze, Coming Out of Omaha". It did pretty well considering that they didn’t have a black radio station. In 1995, he started to piece his own studio due to a lack of hip hop studios. In 1997 he recorded his first solo album "Dj Kamikaze, Versatility". He sold this tape in local shops and out the trunk of his car. It was a learning experience for him because he had to learn how to do everything on his own. In 2001, he released "Dj Kamikaze, Chapter 1". The single, "Get Your Groove On", had heavy rotation on college radio stations in the Midwest. In 2002 he released "Chapter 2". The singles, "I Know It's Hard Sometimes", "Three Dimensional", "The Attack Of The E", was in the top 50 in downloads on the Hip Hop charts on MP3.com. In 2003 he produced S.O.N.; a group consists of himself, Pharo Mission (Pure-X), Deluxe Magnetic and Number 77. Also in that same year he released "Summery" a remix album with songs from Chapter 1 and Chapter 2. In 2004 Chapter 3 was released. It has special appearances by Pharo Mission and Lq Shampoo Lite. This was supposed to be his breakout record with the lead single “Who Am I” rotating on the internet radio stations. In that same year, he accepted Jesus Christ as his savior and didn't push the Chapter 3 CD because he was fighting all the demons within himself to get clean. In 2005, he went back into the studio to work with other artist on their projects. In 2007 He released Chapter 4, a new chapter in his life. This cd is like no other. He talks about so many different things (Political, State of Hip hop, The Kingdom of God, Punch lines and Rhymes). In 2008 He went back into the studio to work with other artist, helping them release their projects. In late 2010, he decided to get back into the industry as a dj. He felt like God was leading him in that direction. In 2012, he met an artist named No Gud Da Simp at an event he was djing. They both clicked when they got into the studio together. They released their first project called The True Definition Of No Gud in 2014. In 2015 the second project came out 20 20 Vision. In 2016 He released 4 beat mixtapes vol 1 to vol 4. In 2017, he will release a record called Omaha The Soundtrack featuring artist from Omaha with all beats, recording, mixing and mastering done by one person. This is going to be the breakout year for this artist
