This release marks the first in nearly eight years for bassist Scott Pazera. All songs were written by Pazera and feature his electric bass playing. The songs feature Carl Coan on tenor and soprano saxophones, Marco Villarreal on guitar, Leandro Lopez-Varady on piano as well as Deameris Vaughn and Jason Alsman on drums. The songs range from ballads, latin, swing and odd-time numbers. Special attention was given to feature the compositions and the strong accompanying soloists, rather than making it a bass recording. The recording was made in late January of 2009 at Black Sheep Studios in Chicago under the engineering of Joshua Shapera.
