Artie Johnson, Singer, Songwriter & Storyteller.

I was born and raised in Munfordville (Mumphville), Kentucky, with the most fascinating people and stories a person could ever hope to be blessed with. I still enjoy talking to and writing songs about the folks that touched me the most. I've always loved stories, and I want to thank all the people who told me theirs.

My father played a guitar and sang old Jimmy Rodgers country standards like "Waitin' for a Train" and moany other country favorites. I guess I always wanted to play music like he did. I paid fifty cents for my first guitar and bought the Black Diamond strings for two dollars at Clark's Drug Store in Munfordville.
