I stepped into the world of Native American music through the mysterious door of the ancient Anasazi flute. Looking for an instrument that I could explore without any preconceptions or traditions, the Anasazi flute opened a new avenue for musical exploration. Along the way, the tuneful lure of the contemporary Native American flute sparked the creative juices and this first album, "Ancestor Dreams", is the result. I play my own Anasazi-style flutes and the Native American flutes of makers I respect. While not a Native American, I play with the deepest respect for our country's first inhabitants.
