简介
Jarvis Miles, better known by his stage name Hoood, is an American rapper from the Southside of Phoenix, Arizona. He rose to prominence in 2014, when his song “DOA” (Death of Arizona) became popular in his hometown. Hoood became locally recognized and continued recording music for the regional audience. He has acquired a loyal fan base and is considered to be one of the most influential artists in Arizona. Growing up has been a treacherous journey for Hoood. Being the youngest of 3 brothers he had to figure life out quick. His parents were not consistently present in his life, due to their terrible battle with drugs. His father was constantly in and out of prison for smoking and selling “crack”, which created a lot of instability in the household. His mother who was also battling her addiction, was not in an adequate position to care for her children. They were the kids who had it the worst out of everyone in the neighborhood. This resulted in having their grandmother be the angel who took responsibility and decided to raise him from a young age. Understandably, Hoood has a lot of respect and love for her. Hoood has since then become a proud father of 3 amazing boys. While continuing his career as an artist, he intends to balance the stage life while still being a dynamic father figure who is heavily invested into every aspect of his boy’s lives. Knowing Hoood’s background story and understanding how he grew up, really helps to paint a solid picture. When you listen to Hoood’s lyrics on his newest album , you'll see where the music from streets sound is going. And with that we introduce to you, IAMHOOOD. #FreshCoast
