Jon Karthaus started as an actor / director. He had his own production company for some years. After a few years of producing film and television Jon wanted to spent more time on music. He wrote several songs over the years so he decided to hit the studio. Jon Karthaus released his first album in 2011. He decided not to collaborate with a major record label but to launch one of his own. This new record label is called Johnnywood Records and is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Johnnywood is a creative production company in music, film and television and is owned by Jon Karthaus.
