The newest release on Artefact comes courtesy of the Macedonian producer who has evolved his sound with every release put out on our label ever since his first release "Sometimes" almost 4 years ago. Pavle Vasiljevic has treated us with his brand new single "Mind Of Peace" that comes in two parts along with two remixes by one of Macedonian best when it comes to house and techno, the first Kerkez aka Goran Kan with a plethora of releases under his belt, for his label as well as some vinyl releases for some serious international labels, the second by Dejan Dex, Macedonian producer from the new wave of talented and very intelligent artists when it comes to producing top notch house sound in all the different flavors. The first part is an excursion into the deepest state of mind, almost ten minutes long, but someone could say not even enough when you start listening and makes you dance from the first note. Pavle's cleaver arrangement from the beginning puts you on a trip that you dont want to end soon, beautiful melodic pads, seasoned with the Pavle's trademarked bassline and vocal snippets that add that complete feel of flying and driving thru the sound, the melody is just as it should be uplifting but subtle at the same time, the breakdown is maybe the longest you could find in today's music production but it serves the purpose of keeping you in the seat of your imaginary vehicle and take you on another level when it ends. The second part is more oriented to the pure dancefloor experience in those dark hours. Thick beautiful modern bassline melodic in its essence, with the vocal snippets, rolling beats and the melody to make you dance all night a great combination for a dance track of the moment. Kerkez aka Goran Kan has outdone himself when it comes to the subtle and trippy sound arrangement, his interpretation of Pavle's track is a sublimate of his background of a pure techno producer but with the touch of the house ingredient he manages to do a track that could appeal to a broader but underground audience and djs. Dejan Dex is treating us with his so intelligent and modern use of quite a few production skills and elements reminiscing of a period of the house scene that was maybe the best in the history, all those early Yoshitoshi productions signed by Dubfire and Sharam along with their friends who made a breakthrough in the modern underground house sound. Dex is using all that energy to give us a package that is so modern but so serious like it comes from a time capsule, at the same time so powerful and energetic even though so deep and trippy, for sure it will not leave anyone immune on the dancefloor. Even though the summer is not yet here, this releases is a great package to start off the summer feel all around.
