简介
The Bootleggers play a blend of classic, modern and hard rock. The band’s influences include Aerosmith, Jimi Hendrix, Zakk Wylde, Led Zeppelin, Allman Brothers, Beatles, Stone Temple Pilots, Velvet Revolver, Alice In Chains and a bit of Bob Marley tossed in for good measure. Lloyd Harris and Marv Coughlin met in the mid 80’s in a band called “Harris & Thorne”. They gigged for about 2 years and disbanded after some interest from “Virgin Records” Lloyd met Bob Green in the late 80’s when Lloyd and his daughter Amanda formed the Amanda Harris Band. Amanda was signed to Epic Records and the original band was replaced by seasoned studio musicians but Lloyd was able to continue in the new group. Lloyd continued to work and write songs and record with Amanda, meanwhile starting a group with Bob and Marv. Lloyd’s son Matthew filled in on bass until they could find someone permanent. Sean Merrins was introduced to the band by Bob’s roommate. Sean came over for an audition and there was magic in the room. Eventually they hired Jessie Gagnon to play bass. Jessie left the band after 2 years and Owen Grossman joined the group in September of 2004.
