简介
"Wash Me Away" is my first solo album of 6 choice songs delivered with Finely mastered productions. Four of these songs are by recent collaborations with two very accomplished musicians, Jeff Waters and Alexander Kuzmin. Included in the mix are two of my favorite songs from my former musical Hey days! Beginning with the first cut: "Bonnie & Clyde Funky Blues" was born out of trouble to make up for my misadventure...but that's Another story!! When I first heard the music, what IMMEDIATELY came to mind was a story between Bonnie & Clyde or Frankie and Johnny. I quickly settled on Bonnie & Clyde's fateful story for the lyrics and started doing research to make the song true to life! This Funky Blues song delivers with a Tempestuous horn section, B3 and Rocking guitar!...while I take you on a short tour of their Historic and Illustrious career intermingled with the bloody violence of their ending. In between verses you can 'almost hear' a pursuit going on. This is One Entertaining song to listen to! The title cut to my album is "Wash Me Away" written by the Very talented singer/songwriter, Jeff Waters. I was Smitten with the song's musical flow, simple message, George Benson style guitar, and Phenomenal Production! I wasn't going to say no when Jeff offered the song for me to sing and put on my OWN album! This song is about ending a relationship and going through that anguish that's associated with doing the right thing. Triggered memories come flooding back with an easy nudge but 'letting go' was the correct thing to do. In the end, redemption comes through with help from Above. This is such a beautiful song and one of my favorites. You can find Jeff's original version on "The One That Ya Blame" right here on CD Baby! "Summer Love" is jazzy blues song with just Stu Schulman, 'The Maestro' on guitar and myself. The story in this song is based on a True romance that ended after a few summers, although what did come out of it was a Great song! It's received lots of airplay on a San Fransisco Blues station and many internet music sites. "I Heard it Through the Grapevine" was a Giant hit in the 60's. Our Captivating version has received some Pleasing and Surprising comments! Although this song's been done a few different ways, our band did it closer to the Gladys Knight version, however, we added more POP! with Rousing and Scolding vocals! My talented drummer, Dale Loyola joins me along with L.A.'s very own Brandon Fields on his Sweet Sounding Sax!!. This one will definitely catch your attention! "Time Rewind" is about growing older and not taking advantage of life changing opportunities when they were presented to you. And before you know it...you're way older, and time has become your enemy. So you end up on a shelf...dusty and living vicariously through other people's lives. This will treat your ears with delightful sax and muted trumpet and some killer keys! "Confess to no one as she waits on the shelf Time rewind watching that movie in her mind She's really somebody else." The final cut on my album is 'Heavenly Moments'. This is an Elegant, Smooth & Jazzy Romantic love song with Delicious sax and muted trumpet and Eloquent keys... "Heavenly Moments are meant for us"...If you LOVE being in love, and WHO doesn't?...You'll enjoy this one. Why...... you MAY want to make this YOUR special song!
