What ever happened to style? What ever happened to originality? In a time when hip hop is concentrating on gold teeth and 24" rims, the Wiz Kid has focused on snapping hip hop back into reality.

Wiz started off rocking shows on the Westside of Phoenix, putting it down with local legends like Cause and Effect and T-N-T. As his talent grew, so did his ambitions. Soon Wiz and his crew were bringing down the house at the Celebrity Theater's Battle of the MCs competition. This was just the beginning of his musical journey. Wiz soon found himself stompin in Montgomery, AL, with part of producer Rick Rock's contingent the Crumb Snatchers. This is where he broadened his talent as a producer and truly came into his own on the Mic. This is also where and when Maestro Music was formed. As you know, even when you shine, you can never be too polished. Lexington, KY would be the Wiz Kid's next stop. The Wiz Kid and Maestro Music would be brought to another level, when teamed up with The D.R., Da Lyrical Whip, K-5, and Dreadlock the Hustler. After opening his own recording studio called Maestro's Soundlab, the Wiz Kid along with his click made the sound of Maestro Music, one of the hottest in the city.

With the Wiz Kid's solo debut, "In Love With a Lie", you hear a unique blend of east coast grit meeting west coast style. His cd will make you go from sittin back thinking to sittin back drinkin and back again, as it gracefully glides from track to track. With a sick mix of street smarts and book smarts, the Wiz Kid proves to the world that he is truly a "Nerd that'll whoop yo a**!"
