> 3rd single from Moondust For My Diamond, the exquisite brand new album from Hayden Thorpe, following his debut Diviner and the Aerial Songs EP from last year.

> Hayden says of the track: “I was feeling inspired by studies into the potential healing properties of psilocybin mushrooms in psychotherapy. I signed up to a flagship programme in the Netherlands where I underwent some of that work. I guess I wanted to explore consciousness in a safe way. Neuroscientists are finding that blood flow to a part of the brain called the Default Mode Network (DMN) is reduced under psilocybin. The DMN is kind of like the brain’s CEO, dictating priorities and making quick decisions. Once this activity is reduced our brain must explore other avenues of sense making beyond habitual neural pathways. This loosely explains the chemistry of awe. I came back from the Netherlands and the next day I had studio time with Fabian Prynn who did some beautiful production and drumming across the record. We had a groove for Metafeeling up and running, as soon as we got going the line “whatever was was, now what is is” came to me and distilled much of what I had experienced during that time.”

> Hayden was recently interviewed by Georgie Rogers for Shaun Keaveney’s show on BBC 6 Music. He has a Lauren Laverne Supernature feature and Morning After Mix confirmed at the station. Album announcement saw pick-up across the board in NME, Clash, DIY, The Line of Best Fit, Dork, Beats Per Minute, Mystic Sons. He has an upcoming feature in Loud & Quiet. He will also be supporting Jon Hopkins on his Polarity tour this Autumn.
