Hailing from the Great Lakes state of Michigan, now living in Brisbane Australia and continuing on with building d.i.y. sound machines and producing techno and house tracks and samples. Chris went on to move to Brisbane, Australia from Detroit in 2012, leaving part of his studio behind and taking a chance on a fresh start and new discovery. Influenced by a wide variety of musical styles growing up in Belleville Michigan, including jazz, funk, Motown and the classic sounds of the 60's, 70's, and 80's. It began with drums and saxophone early on to learn the rudiments of musical theory. Introduced to techno and house music through friends, underground parties and radio broadcasts airing on the local stations in Detroit. Quickly drawn to the sound of groovy, melodic techno, deep house sounds and the family-like atmosphere within the local scene. Not long after, he picked up some turntables and learned the art of mixing by ear, then going beyond that, he got a hold of some second hand drum machines and synthesizers. Hooked by the raw sounds that could be produced sans computer and dismayed at the rising cost of vintage gear, the next logical solution was to learn how to solder and build his own synths and drum machines. Looking to the future for the use of these machines to create sound designs, each one-of-a-kind and unique in character.
