When Steve lived in the UK, he frequently visited local schools to speak and sing at their morning assemblies. Over the course of the years he began to write songs specifically geared toward the 4-11 year olds he wanted to reach: kids songs that expressed the truth of God's Word in a fun and kid-friendly way. A friend and partner in the recording industry heard about the songs, and after much persuasion, convinced Steve to record a "kid's album". Steve gathered some musician friends in Northern Ireland and Scotland, enlisted some school children to volunteer as background singers, booked a studio, and laid down the tracks. The result: God Likes Kids! Steve says, "I hope it's half as fun to listen to as it was to make!"
