简介
Lili Sommerfeld wins the first Berlin Song Contest for the Kreuzberg district with “The war is over when we dance”. The diva and her dancers came out on top with a super-catchy dance anthem and a breathtaking performance. The song secured 1192 points, placing the entry well ahead of the participants from other districts. The winning song “The war is over when we dance” was written by Sommerfeld and produced by the Munich-based producer “Toyz Music”. The inspiration for the song came while Sommerfeld was dancing in SchwuZ, where the final of the competition was to take place six months later. It is about freedom, friendship and the liberating power of long nights spent dancing. The track has everything the big international dance hits have, with danceable beats, a powerful soulful voice and a severely catchy hook. The first Berlin Song Contest, which follows the model of the Eurovision Song Contest, pitted the various districts against each other for the first time this year. Sommerfeld was considered a favourite following the semi-finals and was hailed by the press. She went on to take the title for her chosen home, Kreuzberg. Sommerfeld was born to an Israeli mother and a German father in Berlin in 1987 and grew up in Rome and Munich. After graduating from a high school of the performing arts she gained a scholarship to study at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and at the Rimon School of Jazz in Tel Aviv. She has been a regular feature on stages in Europe and thrilling audiences with her music since the age of 15. Lili Sommerfeld has made a first foray into the world of dance-pop with "The war is over when we dance" - with success!
