Music is powerful. Music moves us. Music can take us to places we can not reach on our own. We live in a time of uncertainty, of unrest, facing the unknown. Music can help restore our trust in Hashem, and help restore our faith in our own ability to love each other, to look past the differences. The album I am now offering has many colors, represents many different styles and backgrounds - both musically, lyrically, and emotionally. And yet, there is a single theme that binds all the songs on this album, for it is really about Am Echad - one nation; Shir Echad - one song. For there is only really one song, and it is a song that has been thousands of years in coming. It is a song of unity - both with Hashem, and with our fellow man. It is a song that we sing as we face the darkness, the pain and the separation. And it is the song we sing as we leave that darkness and enter into the light.
