In 2015, after years of scoring hits behind the scenes, Jack Knight decided to focus on writing for his own project entitled “American Heart”, which is a more personal body of work. The title song, "American Heart" featuring Matisyahu, is deep rooted from Jack’s personal experiences. Although patriotic, it deals with the inadequacies in our armed forces for veterans, our educational system, our policing policies, and more importantly, our treatment of seniors in our present health care system.
