Manotaur's only musical influence is Sparks. Manotaur consists of a sculptress, a professional sound engineer, a novelist, a luthier, a community organizer, a filmmaker, two hemp farmers, and at least one person whose been diagnosed with high-functioning autism . Manotaur is here for you. Every rehearsal begins with a short meditation wherein we challenge ourselves to be as stupid as possible. Then we improvise songs. We record every rehearsal and then transcribe the stream-of-consciousness singing verbatim, which creates a rough template for the song. In recording Channeling the Wizard, the lyrics and melodies were further refined by yet another round of cubist spontaneity. As far as I can tell, this is the 32nd album released by Sparky the Dog records.
