ABOUT ME Jermaine D Gordon called “The Psalmist” is a proverbial, thought provoking writer on various topics. Between 2009 and 2010, he wrote over 250 poems and composed over 350 songs. Jermaine D Gordon discovered his talent and love for writing in his early teenage years while attending high school (Kingston College). This was in the 1980s, when pen-pal communication was a very popular and fulfilling hobby for many young Jamaicans. An inspiration to many, he is highly motivated and transfers his enthusiasm to those who attend his impacting and thorough presentations. “There is nothing as important as people, everyone is special,” says Gordon. After 20 years of writing experience, he dedicated his first book to those in search of a meaningful life – “The Colour and Power of Your Thoughts – Inspiring, witty and motivating words.” Musician, Composer, Arranger and Music producer Jermaine D Gordon is also an accomplished musician, composer, arranger and music producer. He spends most of his leisure time training and coaching people to sing. For 15 years, he has been a Director of Music in several Churches, and is founder of Sing-shops in Jamaica. ‘Sing-shops’ is a music workshop designed to improve musical skills in the church and to achieve excellence in music ministry. Referred to as “The Psalmist” for his anointed music, many claim they have been brought into the presence of God when his gifted fingers meet the ebony and ivory keys of the piano. Those who attend his church also boast of his unique talent and gift in composing a full song on the spur of the moment. He has traveled to The United States, Canada and other parts of the Caribbean playing music, speaking, conducting workshops, ministering in Youth Revivals and Camps and leading God’s people into intimate worship. Gordon has been playing music from as early as age four. His well loved poem titled, “I was made for better” is also broadcast through his you tube channel “Colouryourthoughts” Gordon is set to release his debut album “Lord I Surrender – Music for now” in October 2011. He takes listeners on a spiritual journey charted by thirty years of musical experience integrated with love, passion and anointing to deliver some of the most prolific music heard in recent years.
