简介

This CD was chosen "Best New Release" at Indiemusic.co (6/3/13). They wrote "a fine job throughout," "memorable," "clever humor," "enjoyable," and "The Insanitizers are new Kings of Wild Surf Guitars." Cry of the Coyote music magazine gave it a "Cry of the Heart" award with highest rating, writing "This CD lives up to its title... rockin’ surf fans will feast... what more could we ask?" New Gandy Dancer instrumental guitar magazine rated it 4/4 and wrote "Lots happening... rewarding... a group dedicated to their art... soaked in high twanging reverbed guitars and easy to remember melody. " The Album Cover Hall of Fame online published a feature about the art on this CD and our Whimsical Surf CD in April, 2014. So, each CD is a limited edition art print. Insanitizers music is fun for listeners of all ages. The borders of twangy surfy guitar expand into classical guitar, classic rock, modern rock, country, polka, flamenco, and rockabilly. These songs are for guitar; there is no room for a vocal. The guitars tell stories of adventure, mystery and energy in an involving experience. It's a mashup of twangy rock-n-roll, Mozartian classical music, rockabilly, and flamenco, and you will feel the fun. The tones are energetic and pleasant to the ears. Here's the program song by song. At the Beach. A rocking good time with big surf, hot glistening sand, and snazzy swimsuits. GooglEyes. Mr. Googleyes is wacky, silly, and funny, and he rocks. Surf Wall Street. Countdown to the workday, then competition, battle, and change. Risk On. The mysterious master gambler, cooly playing for high stakes, taking huge risks. Dragonfly. Hard rocking hilarious bizarre version of the bumblebee sort of song. Loosey goosey, wah, wah-wah, ... Skywriters. A dramatic picture of dizzying climbs and descents, with billowing white smoky script. Guitar and drums interact in duets. Eclipse. It was blackly dark in the middle of the day. You felt very alone, yet restless. There was something about the moon, maybe going to the moon, one of these days. Surfarian. The Brahma's Surfarian Goulash. Duets between guitar and drums, and then between two guitars. Relentless Squid. The giant squid is relentless. You can try to swim away but he will still be there. Barbarous DeVille. That giant barbaric pink 1957 Cadillac DeVille that haunts your dreams has materialized. It's stalking you. Sardonic duets between guitar and drums. Tip of the hat to Rossini. The Foretelling. The ancient hermit wore a long flowing black robe and pointed hat, both embossed with glowing golden stars. The pink and blue nodules on his face covered it completely. Each nodule had its own nodules. His wand spat sizzling trails of light from the far end. He waved the wand forward, left-to-right, and back again. A ghostly moving picture appeared, foretelling your destiny. Disappearance. Our friend went out in the surf. Then we never saw him again. We went out to look for him, but we saw no sign. He was gone. We almost didn't make it back. Sympathetic Discharge. Excitement built as we traveled, with a sense of other worldliness. A mysterious huge structure arched and towered above us, whittled with details large and small. We both found what we were searching for. Feral Four. Two guitars improvise furiously, separately and together, as if each knows what the other will do. If Link Wray and Eric Clapton performed together they might sound like this. This recording was made as the quartet performed together, just as you hear it. This recording led off a "Best of 2012" broadcast on college radio station KSYM (DJ = Brian Parrish). Ghost Rites. Spirits hauntingly declare ghostliness in a psychotic shuffle. They're in the belfry with the bats. They're deep in your mind but you hear them anyway. What are they saying? Man Hunter. The marshal and his deputy are a-ridin' their horses and a-comin' to getcha, cinematically. Undertow (duo) as played by Rodriel & Gabrigo, the Insanitizers Flamencobilly acoustic duo. This is a magically intense and fun show. Percussion is on a guitar for this recording and the two following. The Rescue (duo). Rodriel & Gabrigo deliver a crystalline performance. This song seems to have been written for them, and it feels quite different from the surf guitar combo version "Lost in the 3rd Dimension" on our Whimsical Surf CD. Fantwango (duo). Rodriel & Gabrigo fret and strut their hour upon the stage in a mere 2-1/2 minutes. Guitars were thrashed but not harmed. This recording defines Flamencobilly. Waterboard Surfing (vocal). This song is half surf guitar and half comedy vocal. "Torture is not the same, It's just a kind of game."
