Ryan began writing and recording his first songs at age 13, and now at age 17 has recorded his first professionally produced EP of original songs. Classified as piano-driven indie-pop, it appeals to a large audience of listeners and is easy to enjoy. This batch of 6 songs tells of different seasons of life Ryan has gone through, and depicts many different emotions. After learning how to play piano at a young age, Ryan then inquired about other instruments such as saxophone and guitar and began singing all of the time. Other than his multi-instrument background, the truth and reality in each of his songs sets him apart from most other artists. Now at Chapman University, Ryan is studying Business Marketing and Music, and hopes to someday mesh the two studies into a career. Changing Seasons was recorded during the spring of 2006 and its completion is a significant step in Ryan’s future music career. Recorded at Wiseman Studios outside Seattle, alongside other Seattle musicians, Changing Seasons is a powerful testimony of the potential of this young Seattle native.
