简介

ENCORE! OK so we have this other 'last' cd out after announcing that the first last one was really our very last (which turned out to be our next to last...) ANYWAY...Just before Lindsey shipped out to Boston, we decided to go ahead and release the songs that people down Florida way have enjoyed for years, including one of our most popular songs ever, the Beethoven classical 'Pie Jesu' featuring Lindsey and Eleanor Ayala. This song was also on our, let's call it the 'original Java Cafe Band CD'. A new Blues guitar instrumental is here, "Jordan Lee's guitar blues" - a nice flow of guitar riffs and key changes that have a nostalgic 1960's flavor (Like The Shawdows/Ventures) with a hint Robert Johnson. O Solo Mio, performed in Italian by Lindsey was recorded live at the Juno Beach Cafe in Florida back in 2004. It captures a rare live performance by Lindsey with Jordan Lee on guitar and harmonica great, Gene Jones... ...Speaking of Gene Jones, our legendary harmonica player extraordinaire (Original member of the world famous Harmonica Rascals) - his brand new long awaited CD - TAKE TWO, will be available very soon. Meanwhile check out his current top-seller, HARMONIUM, a collection of harmonica instrumentals that will take your breath away, available right now at www.cdbaby.com/jonesg SPECIAL THANKS TO ELEONOR: Thank You Eleonor Ayala for your glorious lead and back-up on PIE JESU. Your sound is so clear and professional... although still a teenager, your mature and awesome voice rivals professional singers twice your age... NEW for September 2006 Find Lindsey Blount's original CD here: www.cdbaby.com/blount __ ABOUT LINDSEY BLOUNT: The following is quoted from the Palm Beach Post/May 7, 2004 concerning then 16 year old Lindsey Blount: TEEN SINGS BALLADS, MOTOWN, ORBISON "With influences like Ella Fitzgerald, the Andrew Sisters, Nina Simone and Janis Joplin, Blount is clearly not cut from the same cloth as most teenagers...Her voice booms throughout Oakbrook Square, compelling would-be passers-by to stop, look and listen. She carries venerable ballads (the Patsy Cline hit, 'Crazy') uptempo pieces (Motown era 'One Fine Day') and duets with Lee on Roy Orbison's 'Pretty Woman'. Blount turns 17 on May 15th, coinciding with a performance/birthday party next week." Special to the PALM BEACH POST by Bill Meredith ____ SONG DETAILS: To the broken-hearts in Paris, Greece, Russia & everywhere else: To all the above & more - The Java Cafe Band sings out this question - How Do You Fall Out Of Love? 'HOW DO YOU FALL OUT OF LOVE', a bitter-sweet love song written by Jordan Lee and beautifully performed by Lindsey who vocally digs into the heart of authentic human emotion (about one-sided love) politically/musically correct... ...Technically however, we never used a wind-screen on the mike (a felony in Georgia) thus a couple of popping P's & T's are in the mix - but for the sake of an otherwise job well done, we can live with that. The song was nailed in only three takes - she (Lindsey) walks in, learns the tune in about five minutes, records it and leaves to pick up a pre-ordered pizza: amazing stuff (Lindsey, not the pizza). Finally 'Wrap Me Up' by Lindsey is also one of her own first original songs. Quite unique when considering the song was written and recorded in Hendersonville, North Carolina at the age of 14. After all some folks start out real early in music, Mozart did! The songs and music herein is a kind of history, a collector's item and major starting point, if you will, that launches the magnificent career of one of America's hottest new vocalists, Miss Lindsey Blount. This story to is be continued...Stay Tuned! Sincerely, Lindsey Blount, Jordan Lee & Gene Jones
