MisteR is the collaboration of two friends who between them recorded an album playing every instrument featured (overdubbed of course) Mike: Bass, Guitar and Vocals and Rob: Keys, Percussion and Trumpet. They recorded it in their last year at Chethams School of Music, Manchester utilising the facilities provide. There are five vocal tracks on the album (When Will I Learn, I’m Walking Away, Could It Be, Another and Look To The Sky), three short instrumental tracks (After It’s Over, Time and Time Again and A Final Glimpse) and two solo tracks (In What Territory and While The Rain Falls) which feature both players on their respective instruments, Rhodes in Rob’s case and Bass in Mike’s, in which the bass is over dubbed. All the songs were written by both of them in the studio (excluding the solo tracks which they both wrote respectively and Look To The Sky which Rob wrote and the both arranged). This is a chilled and reflective album dealing emotions everyone can empathise with.
