The first half of these travels he did by car, but then his car was totaled so he switched to bicycle. Yes, that’s correct….BICYCLE. In 2007 he put around 5,000 miles on his bike, and he is currently in the process of matching that in 2008. Over these three years he has spent quality time in at least 30 states, from California to Georgia to New York to Washington and back to California. Burke’s music is just as adventurous as his travels. His ridiculously entertaining style of “psycho-folk” combines punk rock, folk, soul, rockabilly, beatnik poetry, surreal comedy, and very strange dance moves. Some have said that Burke is the Forrest Gump of rock’n’roll. Burke denies these allegations. Burke’s aunt claims that Burke has Asperger’s Syndrome, a form of autism. Burke will neither confirm nor deny this allegation, but if it is true, it may very well be that Asperger’s Syndrome is a lot more fun than anyone could have ever imagined.
