Jessica has finished her second solo-album ('Fear and the Framing'), due to be released in September 2012 by Hubro, instead of her former alias 'JÆ', this time under her real name. The record is mixed by the amazing Randall Dunn (Earth, Sunn O))), Jesse Sykes). The record, on which Jessica works with many of her longtime collegues (a.o. Viljam Nybacka, Juhani Silvola (who is also in the band 'Sacred Harp' with), wildchild impro-guitarist Daniel M. Grønvold, contemporary composer&violinists Ole-Henrik Moe and Kari Rønnekleiv, and more), nonetheless clearly presents a new realm of sound. It has a lot more edge, powerful singing, raw textures, and rock-influences. Lyrically, the record centers around the theme of anxiety, in contemporary cultural, sociological, and personal emotional contexts. Similar to the musical palette, despite it's great diversity, it strikes one as surprisingly coherent. With 'Fear and the Framing', Jessica establishes herself as one of the most unique and skillful new artists in the alternative music-scene.
